My Approach
I use an integrative psychiatry approach to better understand the underlying cause of symptoms and support you in your mental health. Integrative psychiatry is an individualized approach that combines both functional medicine and traditional psychiatry to determine and treat the source of imbalances that are impacting your health.
A bit about me:
I am a doctorally prepared Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with 15 years of healthcare experience. I aim to promote holistic mental health by partnering with you to create healing and wellness.
I provide initial consultations, medication management, and psychotherapy tailored to best fit your mental health needs. While collaborating with you, we will explore the complexities unique to you and your circumstances and identify strategies to facilitate your growth and wellness. I may recommend supplements, lifestyle changes, therapies, and/or prescribe medication.
Services:
-
A psychiatric evaluation is the initial consultation that assesses symptoms and reviews history. Information gathered will help us develop an individualized treatment plan.
-
Virtual medication management services to help you to feel your best and regain control of you life.
-
In combination with medication, I will incorporate therapy into our sessions to better understand you and provide tools to help you thrive.
My Philosophy
I recognize the close connection between the mind and body and work to understand how nutrition, sleep, stress, movement, and social connection impact your daily life. Using empathy, education, humor, and sincerity I work with you to develop a treatment plan to help you reach your goals and meet your unique needs.
My Personal Beliefs
I believe that each of us is doing the best we can in any given moment, shaped by our unique experiences and circumstances. We are the true experts of our own bodies and lives, and it’s important to honor that truth. Compassion—for ourselves and each other—is a powerful healing force, and the world could always use a little more of it.
